12/31 Fields Dynamite! - Changes and Additions

Tuesday 29 December 2009

There has been a change to the SRC "Team" on the Dynamite! card. Jong Man Kim is stepping in for an injured Marlon Sandro. Kim is a very good fighter, but he has not had a win since his very surprising upset of Hatsu Hioki in 2007, or 7 fights.

Also added to the card is Gegard Mousasi, who will take on the veteran Gary Goodridge in a MMA rules fight. Goodridge is riding a 4 fight losing streak and is facing the former DREAM middleweight title holder and current StrikeForce champion, Mousasi, who has a 14 fight winning streak.

Mousasi VS Goodride is just a waste of a fight for Mousasi and a waste of fight space on Dynamite. Another great fight could of been put in its place just look at all the LW's still under DReams roster not fighting that could of been put in its place. Or even keep Mousasi, I mean how hard would it of been for FEG to get say Ricardo Arona,Jeff Monson, or even a Hector Lombard rematch instead of Gary Goodridge out of all fighters ? This fight will last if we a lucky 45 seconds before Goodridge gets KP or subed. Horrible match making

one more thing I don't just don't understand at all instead of Jong Man Kim stepping in for Sandro if it has to be a SRC fighter why not use Kitaoka for a Sengoku fighter or even Jorge Masvidal. Jong Man Kim is not that bad and I can live with that fight but there is alot better options out there under the Sengoku banner. Also its a long shot but why not try to throw some BIG $$$ at Gomi on short notice to see if he would take the fight ? I dout it but its worth a try.

i think the tokoro fight is at featherweight. if so i seriously doubt kitaoka, who barely makes LW, or masvidal who is a huge LW, could make the weight cut

you are probably right The only reason I thought it might be at LW now is Jong Man Kim fightts at LW. unless he will move down to FW or they will do a catch weight inbetween ? If it is at FW Hatsu Hioki would of been a real nice addition instead ?

I was thinking of Hioki as well.

yes hioki would rock imo as well... but im ok with JMK cause now Tokoro has some chance of winning (he is gonna get mauled by Sandro :( )

Also I don't know if it will happen or not, I kind if have my douts now but Jordan Breen the analyst for Sherdog said that FEG was still in talks with Tim Sylvia for a possible Tim Syvlia vs Hong Man Choi fight. I would love to see that fight. He also said another 1 or 2 K-1 fights should be made buy the 31st ? that 2 dam days though I really hope a few more fights come threw I love the last minute additions every year.
