Shooto August Ranking

Shooto have updated their rankings for August. I have not updated these for a while, so there are lots of changes. Tahara is now ranked #1 in the flyweigt division, and notice Ogikubo who have climbed into the #3 spot in the featherweight division.

Also Australian Gustavo Falciroli has come into the lightweight rankings after a strong win in Shooto Australia.

Flyweight:

Notice Hiromasa Ogikubo who has now climbed into title contention. Since Galvao has already had a title hot, Ogikubo might be next in line.

Champion Nakakura suffered an eye injury in his last loss to Gomi, there was some doubt that he will make it back to the ring, but I hope we will see the champion defend his title soon. This is a very strog division now, with the additon of Gomi and Sengoku champion Hirota.
