11/1 Sengoku - Nogueira Signing Confirmed

Monday 20 October 2008

Sengoku have announced the last fight on their November 1 card today, and it is "Minotoro" Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs. Moise Rimbon.

This should be a huge signing for Sengoku! Also a good addition to this card.

It looks as though Josh Barnett will not participate though, I am a little dissapointed about that. Still a very good card.

it adds depth to the division, lawal, xande, kawamura, silva, rimbon and newly signed robert jocz will ad flavor to the 205 division, and barnett im hopeful that sengoku sings sylvia and match ups him against barnett right away

It adds dept and credibility. They signed another big name. The division is starting to look strong and I would expect a GP next year.

They need to hadd to the HW division to challenge Barnett. Sylvia would be exciting.

I figured Barnett wouldn't fight on the card...oh well, should be a great event though!

WVR is doing much better matchmaking than FEG. FEG has all but ignored the larger weight classes, which happen to draw the biggest ratings in Japan, do they not?

Someone will have to look into that for me, but I think there's a direct correlation between a strong hw division and bigger audiences.

I wouldnt say that FEG has ignored the heavyweights, they have Crocop, Overeem, Hunt and Kharitnov. But there are only so many times you can match them against eachother.

WVR are building a good LHW division.

We have to see, but HWs are always popular (be it boxing or MMA), but Japanese want to see Japanese win. Ishii would be a huge draw there.
